Summer Solstice is the 10th solar term among the 24 solar terms in China. On the summer solstice, the position where the sun shines directly on the ground reaches the northernmost point of the year, and the daylight hours reach the longest in various parts of the Northern Hemisphere. On the summer solstice, for the people of Sanmen in Zhejiang Province eat the local delicacy such as BianShi, and also commonly consume watermelons, bayberries and other fruits to escape the heat.

夏至，是中国二十四节气中的第10个节气。夏至这天，太阳直射地面的位置到达一年中的最北端，北半球各地的白昼时间达到全年最长。在夏至这天，对于浙江三门人来说，人们会吃当地的特色美食扁食，同时，也普遍食用西瓜、杨梅等来避暑。
